We are involved with organizations where we experience both positive feelings and great sorrow during a large part of our life. When we understand people’s behaviour in an organization, we can relieve our anxiety and difficult situations. Work is better organized when we know how to create better cooperation. We can help ourselves by knowing that organizational behaviour opens up a perspective to dissect one’s motives, feelings, values and attitudes. Thus, organizational behaviour is useful in both aspects, and together we will discuss how to make better use of it.
Maaja Vadi is a professor of management at Tartu University, whose research addresses the issues of managing individuals, organizations and organizational environments. In addition, she has done consultation and training related work in cooperation with many Estonian companies and institutions and conducted basic training and development programs for managers.
